OCTAVIA LANDIX
Octavia is a one-of-a-kind Music Producer, Engineer, and Songwriter that merges the iconic sound of West Coast Hip Hop with the sultry rhythm of R&B to create her own modern industry fusion. Born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, her music was influenced by the culturally diverse heritage of L.A. music. Octavia later went on to study music at Santa Monica College, Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, and SAE Institute of Technology in Hollywood, to strengthen her natural skill, and prepare her to become the industry powerhouse that she is today.
Octavia is sought out for her unique sound and exceptional mixing and mastering skills. Her studio is based in the City of Burbank where she works with top industry gear and software, such as UAD, Neumann, and Telefunken. With over 15-years of experience using Pro Tools, Logic, and Reason for music production, recording, mixing, and digital mastering, her workflow is unmatched and cannot be duplicated.
Octavia has worked with music industry giants such as Kendrick Lamar via Top Dawg Entertainment, platinum selling artist Inayah by way of EMPIRE, Grammy award-winning recording artist, Kali Uchis of Virgin Records, R&B/Soul music legend Kipper Jones, Grammy Nominated Singer, and Actress, V. Bozeman, of the Iconic TV drama, Empire, Grammy Award-winning Producer/ Songwriter/Musician and Musical Director, Cornelius Mims, as well as legendary actress and NAACP Image Awards Nominee, Lisa Raye McCoy. Early in her career, Octavia worked as studio personnel to Grammy Award-winning super-producer, Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins at Capital Records, and R&B Singer/Songwriter Amel Larrieux at Blisslife Records. Her contribution to Kali Uchis' Grammy & AMA nominated album Sin Miedo, has allowed her to cross over into the Latin market of the music industry.
